Okay. So, I think that the author spent way too much time on describing the machine that the "doctors" stuck down his wife's stomach when she OD on pills. He was like, is it sucking her soul, is it cleansing it? BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! It really wasn't that important, but he spent, like, two - three paragraphs on it! What's with that?

I totally agree with you! he's really descriptive sometimes, but other times, he's just rambling on and on about something you don't get. Take the rain passage for example on page 18. what is he trying to say? He also doesn't describe what something is for a while, and so you're sitting there with your brain in a knot trying to figure out what he's saying. there's this one part where he's talking about "a Seashell" in his wife's (Mildred) ear. It takes you a while to figure out what it is (which he still doesn't really say). I feel like he's not the type of person who writes things explicitly. He talks about or mentions something but doesn't flat out say what it is. ARGH!

Yeah, it's like the author thinks they're being clever and mysterious, when really they are just being irritating. It took me a long time to get what the "seashell" was. And the wall thing too, that's kinda confusing.

I'll help you kill it. And the firemen who gave it the animals! That is a stupid (and sick) form of entertainment!
Re: What Cornfuses and Confuzzles us about Fahrenheit 451
Well the whole world is twisted and perverted so they think that books are worthless, firemen [/i]create fires, and colleges are practically worthless. Professors don't even have jobs! They're on the run, and act like hobos! Im not serious!!! This is definitely a dystopian world
