Thoughts or Feelings about Fahrenheit 451
This is kind of in the same theme or whatever as the general comments, but this is where you can really say thoughts and comments. So yeah. Enjoy!

I feel that Fahrenheit 451 is definitely NOT the type of book that kids read nowadays. Well maybe they do but um yeah.... Since this book was written in like the 1950s, it's.... "different". I hate that Ray Bradbury leaves out an explanation on something important like why they burn books (the explanation comes later in the book). I mean he does explain stuff later but you're sitting there wondering what he's talking about (the tv walls for example) and it just ANNOYS THE HECK OUT OF ME!!!!!! It's really frustrating that he does this to the reader. Maybe he's trying to build up suspense or something but it just is annoying for me. The first half of the book was also slightly boring because there was talking among the characters but no action or thrill or drama. I guess that is how classics work. I never really was a fan of classics but i guess i'll have to get used to them.

Yup, cuz we'll be reading a butt load of them in high school!

I think that if someone wrote a book like this in modern times (like Stephanie Meyers), no one would like it. These are loved by teachers and adults, but they are confusing and hard for teens/children to read. Personally, je n'aime pas classics!

Why would people hate it? I would think that people would enjoy reading a classic written by a modern writer. I guess it's true that adults understand classics more than us "kids" do, but I just don't get why the book has to be so strangenicole wrote:I think that if someone wrote a book like this in modern times (like Stephanie Meyers), no one would like it. Yeah, most books I find in the teen section are real short and easy to read (like you can finish them in about a day) and useally involve romance. I read a book that was about a power crazy government and they had to add romance into it!!! It's like teens can't read books that don't involve romancenicole wrote:I think that if someone wrote a book like this in modern times (like Stephanie Meyers), no one would like it.
